Papaya and Buttermilk Face Mask for an Even Complexion

Soften your complexion with the dynamic alpha hydroxy acid duo of papaya and buttermilk. Citric and lactic acids combine to slough away dead skin cells and unclog pores — no more need for inflammation and redness! The papaya is rich in both vitamin C and beta carotene for skin repair and renewal. Buttermilk is super cleansing with natural anti-bacterial properties and zinc. This papaya and buttermilk face mask leaves skin feeling renewed and looking creamy buttermilk flawless.

I also use honey to help lock in moisture. Rose essential oil is great for a little astringent, anti-inflammatory action. This is basically a youth tonic for your skin. To make this skin evening face mask, you will need:

  • 1/4 cup of fresh papaya (approximately)
  • 1 tablespoon buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 3 drops rose essential oil

Blend the fruit, buttermilk, and honey in the blender. Move to a bowl and add the rose. Clean the face with your facial cleanser. Once the skin is dry, apply a thin layer of the mask over the skin. Don't forget your neck, an area that can definitely use some antioxidants to stay in shape. Leave this skin treatment on for ten minutes — just enough time to blend your papaya and banana smoothie, a great way to get more skin nutrients. Cleanse, pat dry, and put on a little face lotion to finish. Amazing anti-aging skin boost — thank you buttermilk!
