Avocado and Yogurt Face Mask for Plump Skin

Plumper, smoother, younger looking skin is what everyone is after these days. If you don't want to use injections to fatten up your complexion, try this avocado and yogurt facial for a natural, subtle effect. This homemade face mask will not have the same impact as a professional cosmetic treatment, for better or for worse, but it will nourish and soften the skin and give a brighter, more youthful complexion.

If you like it, try it once a week to help fortify your skin with easy to absorb fatty acids, as well as antioxidants, B vitamins, vitamin C, and amino acids. This is a dynamic combination of healthy fats for softer, smoother skin. On my own personal quest to prevent wrinkles (or at least slow their development), this is one of my favorite at home facials.

To make this avocado and yogurt facial, you will need:

  • 3 tablespoons of soft, ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of apricot kernel oil

Mash the avocado well with a fork. Next stir in the yogurt and apricot oil until you have a smooth creamy mixture. Open your pores with warm water and then apply this face mask to your skin. Leave on for ten minutes before rinsing off. Finish with a rich moisturizer. I highly recommend eating the rest of the avocado with a green salad. Not only is this fruit perfect for face mask recipes, but it is also one of the most important foods to eat for healthy skin with B vitamins and other nutrients.
