Yogurt, Banana, and Ginger Face Mask to Nourish Skin

This is a great homemade facial that doubles as a healthy breakfast for your skin.
Use this yogurt, banana, and ginger face mask to brighten your skin and your morning. Yogurt and banana nourish and soften while ginger doses the skin with antioxidants and has a warming effect, gently stimulating circulation to the skin, increasing the flow of nutrients and oxygen to cells. Banana is also a great source of wrinkle-fighting antioxidants and skin nutrients, including B vitamins, potassium, and zinc.

This face mask recipe gets an A+ for convenience and well-being. Use it in the morning to soften the skin before putting on your sun protecting face cream and any makeup that you may use. I use it once or twice a week as a breakfast mask, or whenever I have a really ripe banana that I need to use. Bananas with yogurt and a cup of warm ginger tea is an excellent breakfast. Once again, I highly support enjoying the healthy foods that you are putting on your skin, not only to get the double dose of nutrients, but also to make sure that nothing goes to waste. I appreciate efficiency, even in skin care.

To make this yogurt, banana, and ginger facial you will need:

  • 1/3 of a ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger tea

Mash the banana with a fork while your ginger tea is infusing (don't forget to cover while steeping for a stronger infusion). Stir in the yogurt and ginger. Smear over a clean face. Leave on for twenty minutes while you enjoy your breakfast and sip your ginger tea. Rinse the face clean and gently pat dry. Moisturize and beautify as normal.
